Have used a cheap nylon neck harness for years and didn’t know what I was missing, before I bought this one. The pioneer is much more comfortable despite being heavier duty and tough. After using the pioneer for the first time with the same load as I’ve been using for the past few months I am still sore 3 days later. I think possibly due to the fact that i’m now able to focus on the movement without having to worry about my ears feeling like they’re fixing to be ripped off. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase and would definitely buy again. A few cons about this harness, is I wished the top strap sit a little deeper, but I have a bigger head than normal I would have to say. One other thing I noticed were a few fairly deep cracks in the leather on the folded loop that supports the D-ring. This would be a major stress area that I could see it being a problem down the road, but with a lifetime guarantee i’m not too worried about it. All in all, I would have to say this is a great product and a major upgrade at a minimal price over the various nylon versions out there.

Great piece of gear. I have a relatively small noggin. I think my hat size is 8-8 1/2. I drilled two extra holes and had to slice off a piece of padded leather near the buckle to accommodate a tighter fit and stop sliding. Once I did this it fit like a glove. Way more sturdy than the junk you see on Amazon that is made in Chinese labor camps, I mean factories. Support an American company and get a piece of gear you can train with for decades.
